Daddario Tech Solutions ("DTS", "we", "us", or "our") is a web hosting and technology company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We operate the website located at www.daddar.io and related client portals (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information you provide when using our Services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy legislation.
By accessing or using our Services you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

We collect personal information only to the extent necessary to provide our Services.
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account registration: name, email address, postal address, telephone number, and company name.
- Billing: payment method details (processed and stored by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors; we do not store full card numbers).
- Support tickets: information you include in support requests, including technical details about your services.
- Contact forms: name, email, and any information you voluntarily include in messages sent to us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Server & access logs: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, and referring URLs when you interact with our website or hosted services.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5.
- Usage data: bandwidth consumption, storage use, and uptime statistics associated with your hosting account.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from domain registries, payment processors, and fraud-prevention services when you use our Services.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate, including:
- Provisioning, managing, and supporting your hosting services and domains.
- Processing payments and sending invoices, receipts, and renewal notices.
- Responding to support requests and technical inquiries.
- Communicating important service announcements, security alerts, and scheduled maintenance.
- Sending optional marketing communications (you may opt out at any time).
- Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Complying with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requirements.
- Improving and developing our Services through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Companies that perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processors (Stripe), domain registries (ICANN-accredited registrars), data-centre operators, and email delivery providers. These parties are contractually obligated to protect your information.
- Domain registration: ICANN regulations require that certain registrant contact information be submitted to the relevant domain registry. Where available, WHOIS privacy is applied by default.
- Legal obligations: We may disclose information when required by a valid court order, subpoena, or applicable law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DTS, its customers, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred. You will be notified before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our Services.
- Essential cookies: Required for login sessions, shopping cart functionality, and security (e.g., CSRF tokens). These cannot be disabled without breaking the Services.
- Preference cookies: Remember your currency selection and similar preferences.
- Analytics cookies: Collect anonymised usage statistics to help us understand how visitors interact with our website.
- Third-party widgets: Live chat functionality may set cookies from our chat provider. These are subject to that provider's privacy policy.
You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impair your ability to log in or use certain features.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Specifically:
- Account and billing records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with Canadian tax and accounting obligations.
- Support ticket records are retained for three (3) years after ticket closure.
- Server access logs are retained for up to ninety (90) days.
- When you close your account, we will delete or anonymise personal information within ninety (90) days, subject to our legal retention obligations.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
- TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit.
- Encrypted storage of sensitive account credentials.
- Two-factor authentication options for your client portal account.
- Restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
Despite our efforts, no security measure is perfect. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA
Under PIPEDA and applicable Ontario privacy legislation, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected. You can update most account information directly in the client portal.
- Withdrawal of consent: You may withdraw consent for optional uses (e.g., marketing emails) at any time without affecting services you have already contracted.
- Complaint: If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with PIPEDA, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice in the client portal. Continued use of our Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
